Abbreviated Adult Program
Abbreviated Adult Online classroom
In-car instruction
  • Two 2-hour sessions
  • Beginning and ending at either the Bluffton or Findlay Drive Time classroom
  • Scheduled conveniently for student and instructor
  • $250 cash/check (+3% for credit/debit)

Upon receiving your registration, a contract will be sent to you to sign, which must be returned with a copy of your permit and payment before your in-car instruction will be scheduled.
Per the State of Ohio, if you
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have never had a driver's license
  • Fail the Ohio driver's test on the first attempt

You will be required to complete an Abbreviated Adult driver's education program consisting of:
  • Four hours of classroom instruction
  • Four hours of in-car training with a licensed instructor or 24 additional hours of driving with a licensed driver over the age of 21

We no longer offer the in-person classroom training due to the low number of students requesting this service.  We have, however,  partnered with a online driver's education provider for your convenience.

I want training, but haven't taken the driving test yet.
If you are over the age of 18, you are welcome to take abbreviated adult in-car instruction before attempting the driving test.

  • 4 hours of training in two 2-hour sessions for $250
  • 2 hours of training in one session for $125

Register for abbreviated adult in-car instruction. Check that you have not yet taken the BMV driving test.
DISCLAIMER: If you would happend to fail your driving test, the State requires that you retake the abbreviated adult training.
